Executive Director

Shayna Ronen

Shayna is a native of Walnut Creek and discovered theatre at the age of 9 under the direction of Edward Belasco in the Belasco Theatre Company. Over the next ten years she performed locally with numerous theatre companies and trained with The Ballet School, Lawrence Pech, and private vocal instructor Lucia Scardigno. She moved to New York in 2001 and graduated from New York University with a degree in Psychology, Linguistics and Philosophy. Shayna is the Co-Founder and CEO of the I Can Do That Theatre Company based in Danville.

Jarusha Ariel

Jarusha is happy to return to her Bay Area theatre roots after over a decade living in New York and abroad. She grew up performing in the Belasco Theatre Company and went on to receive her BFA in Acting from Marymount Manhattan College. Upon graduating, she continued her professional acting career performing with multiple regional and Off-Broadway theatres. In 2011 her passion took her overseas to Tokyo Disney Resort, where she brought beloved Disney heroines to life for two years. She is now settled in the East Bay and has performed locally with Clayton Theatre Company, Vagabond Players, and Contra Costa Musical Theatre where she starred in the title role of Gypsy. After completing two years as a preschool teacher, she is so happy to finally combine her passion for theatre with her love of teaching and inspiring children as Co-founder and Artistic Director of I Can Do That Theatre Company.

Educator/Performer

Lisa Rowland

Lisa Rowland graduated from Stanford University and soon after joined the mainstage company at BATS Improv, Northern California's most acclaimed and longest running improvisational theatre company. She is now a faculty member of the BATS School of Improv as well as a lecturer at Stanford University. Lisa designs and delivers improv-based workshops and trainings to organizations and has worked around the world with educators, big tech companies, small design firms, schools, and everything in between. Lisa believes improv makes the world a better place and finds joy in the powerful ways it encourages people to live a life of generosity, compassion, playfulness and connection.

President/CEO at Danville Area Chamber of Commerce and RZP Consulting

Zae Perrin

Zae Perrin is the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, effective October 16, 2017.   Zae has extensive management experience having served as a Regional Manager with Enterprise Rent A Car and Target Stores.  He has experience with small business sales planning and organizational consulting as well as project management and non-profit business formulation and sustainable growth. “Zae brings experience to our organization.” says Tim Argenti, 2017 DACC Chairman of the Board. “I am honored to have been given the opportunity to work with and for all of the fantastic people at the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce.  I am looking forward to navigating the ever-changing business climate and uncovering new ways for the Chamber of Commerce to add value to our members and resources to the local communities,” says Zae. The Danville Area Chamber of Commerce is a 570 member business association that services the communities of Alamo, Blackhawk, Danville and Diablo.

Director/Choreographer

Shanti Belasco-Glynn

Shanti, daughter of Ed Belasco,  founded the Southern California division of Belasco Theatre Company in 2004. It was an extension of the Northern California division, which ran for 25 years. She set foot on the stage at the young age of 7 as a student of BTC, singing and dancing her heart out in a variety of musical shows such as: A Chorus Line, West Side Story, Grease, Oliver, Gypsy and Cats to name a few. Dancing and performing for over 20 years, Shanti is trained in ballet and musical theatre dance. She began choreographing at the young age of 13, went on to dance at UCLA and trained with the Eric Morris Actor’s workshop in Hollywood. She holds a degree in Psychology from UCLA, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a Master’s in Multicultural Education. Prior to opening BTC, she taught 4th grade for 4 years with the Torrance Unified School District and at del Sol Elementary School for 3 years. She is now the happy mom of 2 daughters and teaches musical workshops and classes in Los Angeles.
